Who or what is NC-IPMA?
NC-IPMA is the North Carolina Chapter of the International Personnel Management Association (IPMA), a non-profit membership organization for persons in public sector human resources. The objectives and purposes of IPMA are to:
- Promote excellence through ongoing development of professional and ethical standards and personal and career development;
- Enhance the image of human resource professionals by recognizing their contributions to public service;
- Foster fairness and equity by promoting application of merit principles and equal opportunity for all;
- Encourage research and development in human resource management; and
- Promote communication and sharing of information among human resource professionals.
